Psychotherapy is offered to individuals (adults and older adolescents), couples and groups through the online mediums of Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp, as well as in-person at the Be Kind To Your Mind office located in Madrelle, Loubiere in the Commonwealth of Dominica. An eclectic approach is used to tailor intervention to suit the unique needs of the individual or couple. Appointment is made through WhatsApp or email and payment is done through online platforms.

These are offered both in-person and online to groups, organizations, small business, schools, universities, colleges and churches. The areas covered are Psychological Disorders (eg, anxiety, depression, dementia, etc), Mental Health and Reducing Stigma, Parenting, Developmental Stages, Discipline, Emotional Intelligence, Self-Care, Work-Life Balance, Conflict Resolution, Interpersonal Relationships, Bullying, Coping with Stress and other psychological issues.

As we are becoming more aware of the negative impacts of stigma and the important benefits of mental stability of employees, there has been increased appreciation for the inclusion of psychological considerations in decisions of hiring, termination of staff, placement, reshuffling, restructuring, promotion and policy. Consultations services are provided to businesses, departments and institutions both online and in-person on a one-time, part-time or continuous basis.

The need for mental health advocacy continues to increase in our region, and while this service is required constantly, the demand becomes much more evident in the months that promote awareness of issues related to mental health, and in the aftermath or collective traumatic experiences. Advocacy is vibrant on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Additionally, online and in person radio programs and podcasts are also frequent paths for advocacy.

There are few things that are absolutes for me. One of them is that I was born to teach and practice psychology for the purpose of improving the lives of Caribbean people. I am forever grateful for the honor and privilege of being able to help my people to heal, grow, find themselves, empower themselves and break generational trauma.
I am a Jamaican living in the Commonwealth of Dominica, I am a wife, a mama, a life enthusiast, an advocate and a proud associate clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples, groups, organizations, tertiary institutions/schools and parents.
My insatiable love for psychology intensified by the intimate knowledge of the shared and unique mental health challenges that Caribbean people face both within and outside of the region, fueled the birth of Be Kind To Your Mind. on July 15, 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. What was initially intended to meet a local need has burgeoned into a mental health movement which serves individuals, couples and groups, regionally and internationally, and on August 13, 2025, officially opened a physical office space where people can access therapy and group sessions in-person.
Be Kind To Your Mind is psychological private practice which provides you a safe space to resolve childhood and recent trauma, to improve coping mechanisms, to increase self-esteem, self-awareness and self-confidence, to cultivate and improve emotional intelligence, to develop communication, anger management and interpersonal skills, for the ultimate goal of helping clients to evolve into the most healed, most whole version of themselves and improve the quality of their relationships.
